Training the Inventory Helper is done by starting an autoencoder training proccess on your inventory list. Autoencoder training is computer science terminology for establishing a baseline for pattern recognition. Songbird's Autoencoder is modified with a kalman filtering technique to enhance the efficacy of the system's data analysis. After an initial inventory has been uploaded, the first thing to do is run the Train Inventory Helper process to setup the baseline. Any further changes made to the inventory list are automatcially captured, but feel free to reuse the Training function if it gives you better peace of mind.

If during your first few times using the Define Layout tool, you need to contact us for support, do not be discouraged. After taking a photo of your storage area - we recommend using a panorama photo - you will drag boxes on the screen to indicate regions available for your inventory to be arranged.
It is important that the first box you draw covers the full image and is named 'nest_seg_ perimeter'. This sets a perimeter for the 2D and 3D augmented reality layouts. After you draw and name all remaining segments, you will need to set the maximum stacking height and pixel-to-inches ratio. Pixel-to-inches can be difficult to get right your first time, but don't worry you can keep tweaking the ratio until the proportionality looks right.
Here's a tip: if things are appearing too small in the AR layout, you need to decrease the proportionality.
Another tip: Do not be afraid to use decimals. Take the ratio out to the 0.000's figure if needed.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and what about a video. Here is an end-to-end example of an early version of Songbird being used by the company's Founder and software creator.
Good news is any kinks you see in the video have been fixed. Great news is the process followed in the video has been further enhanced and factored into our implementation guides. So we really know what works well.
You can use the custom query option, to ask specific questions about your use existing inventory. If you want to know about historical behaviors such as "what items are purchased the most on Fridays", start your question with the special command "[Inv.Flow]:" to indicate to the Songbird AI that you want to recollect on historical information.
